NOW MAGAZINE ARTICLE

It appears we made it into NOW MAGAZINE!!!!
Here's what they had to say...
Yes Yes Y’All is a new queer hip-hop and dancehall reggae party in the tradition of well-loved Toronto institution Big Primpin’. Like Big Primpin’, the Yes Yes Y’All crew launched their night at an oddball venue (the Backpacker’s Hostel, almost as weird a choice as BP’s former home at Stones Place). For this second edition the hostel was booked, so they moved to the Drake. Most promoters would’ve chosen the Drake to begin with for its decent sound system and a built-in weekend-warrior crowd. In this case, though, the venue worked against them, since many of the faithful were stuck in line outside, which watered down the event’s queer aspect. Nevertheless, there is something wonderfully transgressive about watching straight suburbanites slowly realize they’re surrounded by lesbians bumpin’ and grindin’ to deliciously dirty beats.

It's unfortunate that we only got 3 "N's" outta 5 but we feel it had to do with venue choice and
a weird mixture of our crowd longside the Drake crowd
Stay tuned for tons of photos and big tunes and hold tight for the jam in April.!!!!!
